I'm glad everyone had a good time- I know I did!

Mike and I didn't know what to expect for our first build party and really appreciate everyone that stopped to lend a hand-

Fred and Jason shouldered much of the engine work with Mike-

Mike Stanley and Tucker made short work of the interior-

My dad helped out all around (and can attest to how much fun it is to clean out "milkshake" oil resulting from an blown head gasket)-

RJ was all over the shop helping out where ever he was needed-

John "Mungo" Duffy using a hammer on everything he could-

And everyone else that stoppped by...

Thanks again, guys- we couldn't have done it without you and it wouldn't have been nearly as much fun!

And now to the pics:

Thanks to Brian and Mike for putting on a great event! Had a blast and can't wait until the next build. Anyone out there thinking of racing in the Southeast, get with these guys -they are willing to help and teach!

I don't have any pictures yet. I just made a big mistake by getting in a hurry while taking out the hvac stuff from under the dash. I had planned on draining the antifreeze out of the car before I started this, but the red mist took over and I disconnected the heater lines without draining the system. I was on a roll til that point. Should get the cage installed in a few weeks. Going to do the timing belt first. Then cage and finally suspension. My thought process is that if I can get all of the safety equipment installed then it is legal to race (stock suspension at Road Atlanta would put me about 7 seconds back - unless its raining). Hope to have it all done by then, but only have a limited amount of time to actually do the wrenching. Have you guys made any more progress since the build party?
