Here's how the entry list from the MW is shaking out:

1. Neal Agran
2. Steve Brewster
3. Sudhir Chikkara
4. Ray Freundt
5. Dan Pina (hopeful)
6. Angel Blazquez (possible)
7. Eric (probable)
and have a few more arms to twist this weekend!

4 of these guys have been on the podium at Nationals, and 3 of them have pipped the current National Champion at least once, so it should make for some great racing!

This is all possible through the work of Steve Brewster of Brewster Motor Express. We are working out the details to get us out there en mass, at a Spec budget.

CJ, I'll take you up on your challenge, with a slight modification:

The region that accumulates the most miles in getting to Nationals (# drivers x distance) will earn some nice beer from me. If you drive your own racecar there, it counts double!

Charlie, we've always put together some community space, and I'll work on that again - good idea on the garages. Miller has an awesome amount of paddock space, and we are going to cover it like a blanket!

I've been doing some research on the largest gathering of 944's in a single class in the U.S.

Porsche Rothman's Cup - about 30 cars
NASA Miller 2009 - 30 cars
944 Cup Nationals - 26 SP2 cars last year
PCA+944 Cup Watkins Glen - 37 SP2 cars (!)

Think we can go for the title?

What about being the largest single class at Miller?

Eric, I dont see your name on that list!!!

In 09-10 we had the paddock area at the end of a garage and we had 4 garages total at the end closest to our paddock. I think Spec had rented one garage and 3 of us had rented the others. We shared the space if someone needed to make repairs. I am bringing scales but if anyone else is that would be great.

I am pretty sure that Tyler has signed up as well as Everett Delano, Jim Richmond, Tom Attaberry and me. so I am pretty sure So-Cal will have at least 5 entrants.

Are you privy to the entrant list? can you post who has signed up or at least how many?

We will have a battle for the largest class at Nationals. E30 is huge in California. 30 cars in Nor-Cal and 15+ in So-Cal.

Spec Miata usually has a big turnout as well.

It would be great to have the largest class. We should get our own run group if we do.

In So-Cal our usual grouping is 944, SM and E30. Usually the pole for each class is within 1second of each other. We do split starts so each group can have their own race. Works well and the fast guys in each class usually catch the tail end of the pack in front of them towards the end of the race.

List updated, I think I'll have the help to be able to swing driving and directing together. Sure would be hard just to watch!

First - glad I replied today..got some energy going.

2nd - I might be the only NW guy thinking this one, but going to try to get some more folks together. Otherwise Eric would love to know if Brewster has a rental as a possible to throw on that spec cost transporter.

Trying to figure out costs right now and the tow alone will likely be about $1000 in my v10 excursion. Wonder who's diesel I can borrow and maybe grab an open trailer for better mpgs.

We have some huge e30 fields up here but none are Spec e30 (pro3). Big weekends see 30-45 and regular weekends are 20 every time. Spec Miata is always good for 10-15 but our 944 group is a wide range depending on weekend 2-10 is the span.

Can I run my Hoosiers? Just kidding. I'm sure most of you are running a ballast...my car is still pretty heavy and needs a few tweaks to make it spec legal.
