TOPIC: Creative way to reinstall windows for transit?

Re: Creative way to reinstall windows for transit? 11 years, 6 months ago #14202

not sure if you can see the first one. My car is totally cut out and i welded in a piece of round bar at the top for support and something to sit on if i have to climb out the window. I wrapped the chord around this and drilled a hole through both pieces then zip tied them together. The other end still has the hook on it. One long bungee does both doors.

Do you have the upper window channel still with gasket in place? If so use the strap method above. It will take your manual assistance to insert into the channel but then the strap will retain it.

I got rid of everything in the door and just use cheap thin plexiglass on the outside. Check it out....

I still have the window channels in place and just use big Binder Clips under the glass. (Similar to Ken's bolt but even easier).
