TOPIC: Roll Call Thanksgiving - Sprint & Enduro

Roll Call Thanksgiving - Sprint & Enduro 16 years ago #2608

Ok Guys,

Time for the Roll Call.

Thanksgiving weekend at PIR

Saturday normal schedule with a sprint race
Sunday 3 hour enduro.
944 Spec Enduro Points/Contingecy Informaiton
This is a Single Points Race and 1/2 points for DNF. Per the NASA DNF rules if you don't make 1/2 the laps of the class leaders you are not considered a finisher and get 1/2 points of the last place finisher.
Equal points will be award for each driver covering at least 30 mintues. So the wining 944 spec will get 100 points to each driver assuming both run at least 30 minutues in the car. This means if a 3rd driver runs only 10 min they don't get points. If the car DNF's before 30 minutues they are scored but no points are awarded to either driver. If the first driver runs 2 hours then breaks and the second driver does not turn a wheel the second driver gets no points, but the first driver could get a top 5 depending on who is running.

By default the car "owner" will get Toyo bucks, but this arrangement can be alterted if you let me know although I don't believe I can split the rebates.

The other Club Racing Arizona sups are here. - Note the are a subset of the NASA National Enduro rules and those are at NASA proracing.com

Count me in for Saturday as well, Joe.

I don't know about a co-driver for the enduro yet.

Darren is registered for the sprint race on Sat. but is not going to run the enduro. He may be looking for a ride if someone wants another driver.

I saw Larry Leaming at HSR today and he is going to run the sprint race Saturday but not the enduro. I also saw an article about Austin on the first page of the Cars classified section of the Arizona Republic today (Sunday) and it said he was going to run the enduro by himself.

Dean Schaefer registered for the sprint race today, so we should have 14 entries for the Saturday race.

Big Dog has registered.

I am going to have my son and the three grandsons for a boys weekend. What do you all want to do on Saturday evening? Do we want to BBQ? Does anyone have a good movie to watch?

As for Sunday, I will talk with someone about allowing the grandsons to crew the car for the enduro (everything but the fuel). If they are able to go over the wall, they will be available for cleaning windows, checking tire pressures, etc. if any of you want their help for your pit stops.

I still need someone with full gear or borrow a large enough fire suit and helmut for my son in order to fuel the car. He is larger than I am so my spare suit won't fit him. It doesn't fit me any more either!
