We need to get our Lemons 944 up and running. We threw a rod at the Lemons in T-Hill last year. The bad rep that 944s have at Lemons isn't very justifiable. We finished 3 Lemons races with the same motor...and steadily got better each time until the rod decided to leave the vehicle!

49th (and Judges Choice award) @ BUTTONWILLOW HISTRIONICS, Buttonwillow 9/09
33rd @ ARSE-FREEZE-APALOOZA, T-Hill 11/09
14th @ Sears Pointless, Infineon 10/10
DNF (78th) @ ARSE-SWEAT-APOLOOZA, T-hill 9/10

Not sure if we'll get it together for Infineon in March...but definitely for T-hill in August. It would be great to have more 944s there...and have them finish!

Great result, Rick. For a 944 to finish third is a great result. I have found that a 944 can go about 2h45m on a big tank, depending on the track of course.

Uhh, what was the BLACK FLAG for? Do you need a "brain freeze" trophy?

How many cars ran the event?

uh, brain freeze aptly describes it. on saturday we ran clockwise with the sweeper and no lost hill. there were some fun speed disparities on the long straight from nascar/riverside down to the sweeper. Sunday they switched us to CCW and included lost hill. but i brain farted on the left hander over the crest 3 corners before the buttonhook. turns out that corner is slower in the CCW direction. four wheels off, way way off, i deserved the black flag.

there were 160ish cars, the biggest lemons race ever.
