You guys missed a fun weekend at Chuckwalla. The weather was perfect and the track was a blast.

Hicks took Sat pole with Rob AZ, Jim R, Jeff AZ, Ian and Austin AZ. Rob went on the first green (operator error) and had 100 meters on the 944s when the 2nd green dropped. We worked our way through the slower E30s and PTs with Hicks and Richmond passing Rob. Richmond caught Hicks and they went door to door through 4 corners before Richmond cleared. Rob freight trained behind Richmond and Hicks passed both of us two turns later. Hicks drove away for the win. Richmond was caught by Austin, held him off for the last half of the race only to be passed on the last lap. Damn kids!

Sunday looked like a battle as most everyone's times were close. Jeff got a great start and lead at the first turn. Hicks and Richmond used slower car as a pick and cleared Jeff. Richmond tried to get under Hicks several times with no luck. Hicks went on for another win.

It is really a fun track in CCW. Sorry more of the SoCal crew was not there.

Wish I could have been there. Just got my 944 back from painter today.

Nice job gang. Sorry I missed it, but am looking forward to Fontana in a couple weeks. I would love to see some of our AZ friends join us too!

Good racing all weekend with a few different names on the podium, mostly SoCal names, but who's counting:)

Huge congratulations to Jim Hicks on his first two wins in 944spec, I have a feeling it won't be his last, Jim has the passion, determination, knowledge of how these cars work and is just a damn good guy that will be a top finisher for many years to come, just like Jim Richmond!

Ian is another one to watch, with a bit more seat time, he will be a serious contender. There is something about those Brits that is just good fun to be around, so glad you are a part of the 944spec family and looking forward to seeing more of you at the track.

Thanks to all that came out for some fun, I hope to have a car again someday before I forget how it's done, but until then I will be out to support in anyway I can.
