I'm looking into some options to join you guys at Auto Club Speedway in May this year and thought I'd inquire about rentals. The alternative is paying to have my car transported down there from WA but thought I'd ask here just in case. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I will shoot Tim C. an email and have him contact you. He has a good car that he races and also rents. He brings it to the track and provides personal crew pit service with the rental.

Thanks Jim! It would be my first time driving the track but looks like fun. Any recommendations on places to stay nearby? Also, do folks bring the car down the morning of or do they allow overnight setup?

I usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express on Miliken Ave. Call them and ask for the NASA discount. Not sure if it is still valid but it was last time I raced there.

Autoclub is a fun track. 5th gear on the oval and a number of places to pass.

You can check out my videos on youtube under squidmobile and squidmobile1. One of the few tracks where some of the contacts were my fault.
Jim Hicks has some videos posted and I think Charlie B. also has one or two.

You can setup on Friday and leave your car and trailer at the track.

Hey Alfonso,
Glad to see you coming down. You talked about moving down here. Any word?
Cal speedway is fun track. 125 to 40mph brake zone on turn 3 is alway interesting.
This Edit Video is still one of the best from Thomas's son.

look up Jivenjim on you tube and Cal Speedway or Autoclub for my videos.
Look forward to seeing you and having Jim back on track.
I will be up there camp/RV for weekend. They got nice showers and stuff at track if you bring a tent down.
Onterio Airport is 15 mins away. LAX is 1-2 hrs with traffic.
