TOPIC: New Toyo Regional Contingency program

New Toyo Regional Contingency program 13 years ago #12291

Guys, the new 2012-2015 Toyo contingency program is out. Details are here:
http://www.nasaproracing.com/contingency...egionalCont_2012.pdf

Highlights:

Payouts double from last year for large fields! Over $2,000 total over a 2 race weekend!
9+ cars pays more than last year, and pays out to place 10-14! $1,400 total over a 2 race weekend!

This is NASA only, and a big improvement.
Remember last year, before the earthquake in Japan, we were working towards this. It got derailed for a bit by the disaster, but NASA has come through. They listened to the requests to increase payouts, and pay deeper down into the field. The distribution is unorthodox, but generous, and big.

A big thanks to NASA & Toyo for coming through on this!

P.S. I was still able to buy RA-1's for under $175 including shaving last week through Frisby Tire.
We have it pretty good vs. the bigger-tired classes!

That's GREAT!!!

Hopefully Linda will be keeping track of this again next season for the MW region. She did an excellent job last year. Thank you Linda for keeping track of all the Toyo bucks and making sure that everyone received them the MW region.

Not to sound ungrateful but we need some cash sponsors that will do this too.
Has anybody checked with any of the filter and oil companies?

We'll get it figured out locally for next year, Ken. No worries. The tough part about more sponsorship is showing them a return on their investment in a sport with little publicity, and few spectators.

Good news seems to get crickets around here, but at least there's not the whining that is on the AI forums!

One thing that could help in this regards is for those that have in car cameras that post on youtube etc, have a Toyo and 944 Spec decal in view. Not make it a requirement, but helps with publicity, especially with the good, competitive racing I have seen.

Definitely good news with the increasing car counts here in Texas
Based on the payout schedule...in a 10 starter field...will the 9th and 10th place cars duke it out to see who finishes 10th?
