Disclaimer - I am not complaining! But! I have a question - the "performance adjustment" that is mentioned - this will probably be some sort of performance reducing addition to the engine, similar to Spec Miata? If so, I'm actually okay with this, just curious.

First, we have to do some testing. The reference high and low compression motors have been built, but they need to get into cars, be broken in, and dyno tested. There are lots of potential options for this, and as of now, they are all possible:

1. Weight adjustment
2. Spec Chip/DME for the LC cars
3. Offset cam key for the LC cars
4. Restrictor plate for the HC cars

My preference is to give the LC cars a small allowance, rather than to slow the HC cars down, BUT this has to be able to be done in a cost effective manner. Until we do some testing to see what works, and at what cost, it's all speculation, and could go either way.

Option 5 is do nothing at all.

Right know we don't have enough good information to make a decision. Once we gather more data we can try to see what if anything can or should be done.
