Any input on brake pads and brands of rotors for the build?

I have run Hawk blue pads for years. Love them. As for rotors I do fine with the cheap $30 ones from paragon products. I think these are made in china. They work and are cheap. I still get over a year form each set of rotors. The rears are take offs from a parts car and last 2-3 years.

I had Hawk Blues on the front and no-names in the rear and I wound up flatspotting several front tires. I now have Hawk DTC 70s in the front and DTC 60s in the rear and I really like the feel and balance compared to the Blues.

As for rotors, I've got some $40 cheapies on the the front and Zimmerman coated in the rear. No issues with either.

I have run Hawk, Performance Friction, Ferodo and Carbotech brake pads. Carbotech are the best by far. I was truly able to go deeper and out brake my competition. Carbotech is a family owned business and they do a lot of road racing themselves. Give them a call, you won't be sorry.

Of course they're more expensive then Hawks but they do last long and work better(IMO)

DTC 70/60's are nice, but more money. Hawk Blue front, HP+ rear is what most of the MW guys run to minimize rear lock up, and is a very effective, and inexpensive solution. Hawk does give us a contingeny.

Great to hear that the car is getting far enough along to worry about these things!

Post some pictures of the beauty up, I've heard it's amazing.

+1 on DTC 60/70 combo - don't cheap out on pads! Rotors are less important, it seems. Slotted at the very most, but probably not even that.
