Re: RR Tire Wear $$$ 11 years ago #15664

Steve, the RR is surprisingly friendly to drive, much better than the R1's I've had a lot of time on in enduros. A lot remains to be seen on longevity, but it's critical that we get the setup right before passing judgement on it.

I suspect you may be right on the camber issue. If you look at the Specs, we now run at the lower range, and the RR's are certainly spec'd to run a lot of camber - up to 5 degrees (!)

Next weekend, I can gather some tire temp data, and see if a little more camber pays off.

Not passing judgment, I haven't even tried them yet.

I'll see if there is any time this weekend to play with camber and take some temps.

TH has a setup pad but even if I can't get on it, I can reference camber and mark off a spot to come back to to make relative changes.

Hey Steve, with the RA1 I was running 3.5 and 2.5 FR. 1/8" toe out front 0-1/8" toe in on rear.
Based on the info from TOYO it looks like we are not running enough camber.
Hope to get a full test day in this month and get some real data. It is tough to get all the data you need in one race weekend.
