So I had my engine out to fix crash damage and now it's almost back together. It I can't remember where this wire attaches to. It's a heavy gauge wire that I'm sure is a ground connecting the bell housing to the chassis but I can't see any obvious spots to connect it to. My car is a '86 and my parts car a '84 and different so I can't copy it. Does anybody know exactly where this goes on a 86? It's the wire on the right.

Thanks
Ron

Just guessing - stud near the speed and reference sensors?
Kind of hard to guess without a pic.

Hi Ron, all ground wires on Porsches will be brown. If the wire you are talking about is brown and at the back of the engine then it does attatch to the stud on the bell housing, if it is still there.
