I always consider windsheild consumables,so I pretty much wait until it's really bad, I've got some pretty good splits in on the edges but none all the way, how picky were they last year?...

Mine has been cracked since 2007 and I've never had a problem regionally or at Nationals. It's my understanding that they'll have a problem with it if it's cracked in both layers (ie could collapse on you), but don't care so much about simple outer layer cracks.
