Subject says it all. They appear different by parts diagrams but will it work? What's the difference?

I've never known there to be a difference in N/A cars?

They are different. I had them side by side at the junkyard where I just picked one up but the only good one they had was early and I have a late car. I took it so I'll update when I replace mine as to whether they fit up easily.
