Got the car running this weekend. All is good except.....
The alternator/charge light is illuminated. I pulled the alternator and it is working properly but the car doesn't seem to sense it. Also, when I turn one or both fans, the car drops rpms so it is definitely running off the battery. I hooked up the battery disconnect switch as described on the 944 spec site.
Does the alternator circuit pass through something (filter, etc....) before going to the battery? Where does the smaller lead (green wire I think) come from? Could I run a new wire from the alternator to the battery?
Any help would be appreciated.
