TOPIC: Using my 944 on a track

Using my 944 on a track 9 years, 7 months ago #18151

I have a daily driver 944 turbo 1988. I took it to mosport yesterday and fell in love with racing it. If I was to use my 944 on the track again what do I need to do to upgrade the car and still use it daily? What do i need to upgrade? How much will it cost me? Does anyone know someone in the Toronto area that can help me?

Two things when starting out, seat time, and staying in your seat. The rest can be researched here, Pelican, Rennlist, etc.

Koni Yellow, or Bilstein HD sport shocks would be a good start followed by Turno or M030 antisway bars. These can be found used on Rennlist.com, Pelican Parts.com, Craigslist, and Ebay.

Good tires and pads, such as Hawk HP+ (still street able) would are a must. Good brake fluid is also a must.
