All the cams I've seen look like this. During a rebuild does anyone buy a new one or regrind to spec?

I am not sure I would use that one. I have never had to replace a cam shaft in a Spec car, so can't tell you much about it.

This is just a stock photo from pelican, however I've seen maybe 6 and they all were the same. All used ebay ones seem to be the same also.

Every cam I've had looks like that too. Never checked the sizes, though.

I've read somewhere "on the internet" that it is like that by design to help spin the lifter. Not sure if there is any truth to it, but the top of the lobes seem to not have wear.
