Is there anyone out there that knows what model of VW engine that the alternator adjusting bracket came from in the tech article for the DIY A/C delete?

I don't know about the article but '80s VW Rabbit brackets work. I was using one from an Audi until VFC lost it. I'm not sure where I got the one I'm using now. The point is that just about any alt. bracket with a slot and a hole will work.

I just took a piece of a 1/8" thick steel strip from Home Depot and drilled two holes in it... Works pretty well.

Go to my blog kevingosselin.blogspot.com and search "delete" i have several pictures of the process.

I used a 91 Jetta bracket.
