A-arm rebuild? 16 years ago #767

Can we use the Rennbay aluminum A-arm ball joint rebuild kit? Like this:

You may use any rebuild kit, but may NOT use any sort of "geometry correction" parts.

the shop that rebuilt Dirk's arms seemed to have a good deal on a good product...

Great! I thought this would be OK, but wanted to make sure. We'll keeo it to a stock rebuild only.

I just replaced mine on the 1988 street car with this one:

www.rennbay.com/trackperformance-ball-joint-kit-p-35.html

Track/Performance Ball Joint Kit:
This kit has Everything that our Super Deluxe kit has but we switch out the glass reinforced polymer bushings for solid ones CNC milled from aluminum bronze (one of the best bushings materials there is). With these new solid upper bushings installed, your new ball joint rebuild should outlast the car.

It's about $50 more, but will last longer and be more reliable. I don't think it's a performance enhancer.

I thought the bushings had to be "non-metalic".
