TOPIC: Transponder fuse ?

Transponder fuse ? 16 years ago #777

I never got an inline fuse installed to protect my AMB transponder. Anybody know what value fuse I'll need for that puppy ? Thanks

I'm using the +12 from the headlight motor that's already fused. It's powering my Transponder and Camera system. I think I swapped it out with a 5 amp fuse.

It should only draw a few milliamps... the adapter for my rechargeable unit is rated at 60ma max, so the actual draw is going to be less, and that's still charging it at like 5 times the rate that it drains, so the direct wired units should be super low. 1 amp is probably the smallest automotive fuse that you're going to find, so you might as well use that.
