Just want to say hi to everyone and introduce myself.
My name is Martin and I'm just trying to transfer from motorcycle racing into cars so it seems as a good idea to try the 944spec class.
If I write something wrong then please excuse me as Im originaly from Europe and I'm still not that good in English.
Just got 1985.5 944 non runner about a month ago and started working on it on my days off. Not too much time to do a lot as I drive OTR but hope I can build it by the spring.
Already running into some problems as I'm more used to working on bikes.
The main issue is that I still can't get this thing started.
If there is someone that already build one and will be able to meet with me sometime and tell me what to focus on when building it will be great.

Also if anyone can tell me why the car will not start, please let me know.
It will crank but will not fire.
It was sitting for god knows how long, so we replaced the fuel pump, cleaned the fuel rail and the injectors, replaced the fuel presure regulator and instaled fuel presure gauge and new sparkplugs.
We also drained the old fuel and put in new fuel.
Fuel pressure is good. Injectors are working. I have spark but it will not start.
Starts only with starting fluid and dies again.
If anyone knows what I'm doing wrong please let me know.
Hope to see you at the track
Martin

Welcome Martin!
Chuck should be able to help. Although I don't spend a lot of time on this forum, there are lots of knowledgeable people that will be glad to help.
