I just wanted to show everyone what Dirks, Chuck, and myself talked about last night...

This is what the NASA RM decals look like on a 944 without any modification to them...


Obviously, that is a little too big, so the only place it fits on a 944 is too far back. It fits the 924's much better. As a result, the 944's are allowed to cut off the "944spec.org" part and either place it somewhere else or replace it with an alternative.

Here is a crude simulation of what it will look like once you do that... (we'll also move it forward so that it's centered over the rear wheel)




Dirks suggested that we also trim the sides to follow the shape of the mountains and the flag, with a 1/2" margin. I like the idea, but the problem I'm seeing is that the bottom of the mountains have hardly any margin at that point, so you can't maintain 1/2" for the whole thing. Here's another crude example, showing what that might look like...



Then I removed the margin to see what that would look like...




So that's what we have to work with...

I like the one with the 1/2 inch margin

why dont you just paint your car the best color and not have to do anything?

I'm with Chuck on this one. I think the 1/2 inch margin all the way around looks the best.
