Mine is cut somewhere after the O2 sensor. I think you are going to find a lot of variability as far as what people have done fabbing up exhaust systems in this area. It might be too late to worry about this as a rule.

If the rule is made that the collector has to be stock from the mixing point upsteam to the header then it will accomodate everyone with a stock to semi stock collector.

If we make no modification to the rule then expect to see some attemps to gain something in this area.

It wont be cheap and it wont be stock or spec.

Please be advised that the new car came back from paint yesterday afternoon a special, very expensive light weight paint )and is safely on the lift at the shop. Work will now re-commence on the build with the electrical, trans, engine, etc. going into the car in prep for testing.

Of course, there will be several days of dyno time working on the collector pipes to get that 4HP you are talking about!!!!!! The dyno time will be your rental fee for Porsches at the Point. I am sure it will be less than $2,000.

The test schedule has not been set, just yet, buy you will be notified in time to allow your attendance and participation.

I fully agree with this rule and why not make it simple: the collector must be unaltered (factory,stock, w/e) until after the bend. I think we should keep the bend because if someone does a backyard special before the bend, and the improper bend is made, the resulting stress on the track could cause the system to break? maybe? I am just throwing out ideas to keep it simple and easily understood. The safety issue I described may not be a real issue but it would keep things simple and costs down.

but regardless of the wording regarding where the limiting location should be placed I am in favor and would support this.

Oh I have the new 5 hp collector already designed and in the build process.
It is made from un-obtainium that was left over from the space shuttle program. They are selling that stuff off real cheap right now. Only $4,000 per foot at 1.5" diameter.

Let me know about a test day. It would be fun to get in a car soon. My boat is sooooo slow compared to a 944.
