These are PROPOSED changes gather from the various discussions. Use this area to further discuss these. Based on the feedback we get the rules will be changed (or not) to reflect these updates. It is anticipated that some rules changes will NOT be accepted, but all are up for debate.


4 Any Radiator including mods
The lower radiator mount rail position maybe modified to facillitate radiator installation. The upper mount rail and both side rails may not be modified.

5 Radiator Fans
Radiator Fans and fan shrouds are may removed or replaced with any replacement fan or fans. Fans and fan shrouds may only be used to direct air flow through the radiator.

Even though I hate new rules I think these would be good changes for 944Spec.

Not sure about either of these. Do we have a problem with availability of replacement radiators ? Fans need to be clarified - do we have to retain the stock shroud ? or any shroud that fits the stock (or other ) radiator ? Or is it any fan we can make fit.

The intent of #5 is both fan & shrouds. I will try to reword that proposal to make sure it is clear.

Most N/A cars had 3 blade fans that didn't do as good of a job moving air versus the later 6 blade fans. There are also some aftermarket 10 blade slim line fans - cheapo ones but also FAL which makes some impressive ball bearing fans that move a lot more CFM than oem fans could.

I don't run fans on my car. I put my oil cooler there to keep it from getting damaged.

You only need them in the pits. It does require that you pay attention and maybe add a warning light.
