Has anyone had any issues with the gas pedal movement? Mine no longer has a smooth movement/resistance from idle to floored. Around mid-throttle the motion has a strange hump feel. Every thing looks fine, moves smoothly and has been lubricated in the engine side of the firewall so I'm assuming it is a bad plastic bushing on the pedal bracket even though it appears fine.
Thanks for any thoughts.

check the back of the pedal. The slider rod slot wears out a hump and snags the rod.
Also may have a bind in the linkage/bushing.

I one had a gas pedal break on me. The lower plastic hinge failed. I carry a spare with me just incase.

Thanks for the replies. I'll look again. I'll bet Dean has it right. I probably mashed the pedal to the floor too hard to often!

Will do once I get it in the garage. It is currently under a foot of snow and a tarp.
