You may gut the doors with any style door bar. I prefer to keep the factory door bar for a little extra impact protection.

I fully plan to keep the door bars, but thet rest of the assemblies (Window guides, wiring, inner door shell) are on their way out.

Today I tried to replace this:


The aluminum cracked when the radiator froze. Unfortunately I tried to use a 944 cooler housing because I didn't know they were different. The hunt begins for a 951 housing.

Not wanting to ruin a day, I put a tow hook in my front bumper, and drilled and set my headlight covers and hood pins:





If anyone knows where I can source a 951 housing for less than 200 bones please let me know.

I'm trying the shotgun approach with this since I NEED one to get my friggin engine running so I can check the compression.

I went back and checked my records...the one I picked up was cleaned/bead blasted for $100
I picked it up from Adalbert Picas email: parts AT picasporsches.com
You might check with him. At the time he said a non cleaned/bead blasted one would be 85
