TOPIC: exhaust ??

Re:exhaust ?? 16 years, 9 months ago #638

I run a stock muffler without my cat. Car is slightly louder than stock, but not really bad. A full straight pipe is LOUD.

I can verify that. Car runs fine with a straight pipe, even makes good torque on the dyno, but for the sake of my hearing, I'm looking at straight-through muffler of some type for this season.

I installed a Dynomax bullet series muffler with a turn-down right in front of the rear torsion bar housing. The muffler itself weighs 4 lbs, so the system is significantly lighter than the stock pipe & muffler, but it's pretty loud.

Dave, does your exhaust exit down under the car, or out the side?

The #67 has a "cherry bomb" in the middle and exits at the back and it's too loud for me. I'm going to add something to it.
